Silicon metal, also known as industrial silicon, is smelted from silica in an electric furnace with a carbonaceous reducing agent after high-temperature reduction reaction. Its main component is silicon, and the impurities mainly include iron, aluminum, calcium, etc. According to the content of iron, aluminum and calcium in silicon metal, it can be divided into different grades such as 553, 441, 421, 3303 and 2202. Silicon metal has the characteristics of high melting point, good heat resistance, high resistivity, strong oxidation resistance, etc., mainly used as an additive for non-ferrous alloys. The general diameters are 10-50mm, 50-100mm, 10-100mm, or other sizes required by the customers.
